OLD AUSTRIAN STUBAI NANGA PARBAT MODEL ICE AXE
We have some old wood handled ice axes, perfect for display over your mantlepiece. This is a beautiful Austrian Ice Axe from the 1960s, called the Nanga Parbat model, and is an antique by itself! This Stubai brand axe is 'modern', with a light colored ash wooden shaft, which is darkended by oil and use. It has a carabiner hole in the head, designed for setting up a pulley with a carabiner, although I doubt if many ever got used. But it looks cool. If you are old enough, you used one of these in the 1960's. These Austrian axes are mostly 28"-34", 70-90 cm. Postage in this item is $15 Priority Mail in the USA, $35 International Airmail.
