Now that most traditional mountaineering Magazines have stopped printing paper issues, the AAJ is pretty much the last man standing (Yes, Alpinist is still alive.) If you like to read about the most difficult, daring and dangerous climbs that have been done recently, buy the latest issues. Or dive deep and buy stacks of journals for only $5 and $10 each. The American Alpine Journal (AAJ) is considered to be one of the best mountaineering reference journals in the world. Each issue is packed with information from the Gunks to China. It contains articles by both young newbies and well-known mountaineers from around the world, a summary of the years most important climbs and expeditions, book reviews, obituaries, and more. We usually have most issues of the AAJ from 1929 to 2024 in stock, many at very low prices. We essentially bought most of the back issues of the AAJ from the American Alpine Club in the late 1990s through the 2010s. Most of our back issues of the AAJ are in New condition, as they date from that mammoth purchase 30 years ago. Sometimes we sell them on ebay at low prices.
