First edition, deluxe edition, Number 96 of 500 copies. Special binding with creme linen cloth with maroon, gilt-lettered spine with a maroon eagle totem stamped on the front. Book is enclosed in Slipcase that matches the desiign of the book. a Fine, clean, tight and Fine, really as new. SIGNED on the limitation page by John McPhee and Galen Rowell. The text is from McPhee's book Coming Into The Country, selected by Rowell, but the bulk of the book is 146 photographs encompassing the magnificence of Alaska, expecially the mountains and the wildlife, by master photographer Rowell.
