Portland, Graphic Arts Center, 1987, reprint. 139 pages, 129 full color photographs, 11,000 words of text, Full Color relief map of Colorado. Large format hardcover 13.5'' x 10''. There is no writing in the book or other flaws, and the dust jacket has no tears or chips and is not price clipped. The Dust Jacket is now protected by a removable clear plastic book cover called a Brodart. The Dust Jacket and the Book are in Fine-Like New condition. David Muench (born 1936) is an American landscape and nature photographer known for portraying the American western landscape. He is the primary photographer for more than 60 books and his work appears in many magazines, posters, and private collections. A magnificent collection of photographs of Colorado. David Muench has produced over 60 books, several on Colorado. This beautiful book includes landscapes of the San Juan Mountains, the high plains and the grasslands, the Front Range, the Sawatch Range, the Mosquito Range, and the Flattop and Zirkel Wilderness. Ann Haymond Zwinger (1925�2014) was the author of many natural histories noted for detail and lyrical prose. In 1970, her first book was published, Beyond the Aspen Grove. She and co-author Beatrice Willard were finalists for the 1973 National Book Award in science for Land Above the Trees. Her Run, River, Run received glowing reviews by The New York Times, the John Burroughs Memorial Association Gold Medal for a distinguished contribution in natural history, and the Friends of American Writers Award for non-fiction. Her more than 20 books on natural history often featured her own illustrations.
