London, 1969, 1st edition. 220 pp, b/w photos, appendix, index. Original brown cloth hardcover, dust jacket, Fine condition. SIGNED AND INSCRIBED by Michael Gill. This copy was a gift from the author to a Bailey Howell who probably had worked on building a school or clinic with Edmund Hillary and Michael Gill. Dated January 1970. This is an autobiography of a New Zealand-born mountaineer. Gill is a New Zealand doctor who traveled to Ama Dablam and Makalu with Hillary in 1960-61 and to Kangtega in 1963.
