Wilcox was one of the early explorers of the Canadian Rockies in the 1890's and an original Canadian Alpine Club member. The author, America mountaineer and original A. A. C. member, explored the Canadian Rockies in the 1890s to the north of Kicking Horse Pass and south to Mt. Assiniboine. He made more than 20 first ascents of in the Canadian Rockies.
This nicely illustrated work was first published as Camping in the Canadian Rockies in 1896 and is here expanded. Whale 1694.
