G.P. Putnam's Son, New York. 1911, 1st Edition. A scarce and collectible Canadian title, detailing two Rocky Mountain expeditions in 1907 and 1908, noted for exceptional photography. Very handsome green cloth binding with gold lettering on the spine and cover. Unlike most 100 year old books, the gold lettering is a bright as the day it was appied. There is only the slightest wear on the cover illustration, otherwise no fading whatsoever on the spine and cover. Hardcover, Fine. A four-months' horseback tour by a female photographer, her female friend, and their two male guides, in 1907. The author was the wife of Dr. Charles Schaffer, a prominent scientist from Philadelphia. A scarce and collectible Canadian title, detailing two Rocky Mountain expeditions in 1907 and 1908, noted for exceptional photography. Mary T.S. Sch�ffer was an avid explorer and one of the first non-Native women to venture into the heart of the Canadian Rocky Mountains, where few women or men had gone before.
