Seattle, The Mountaineers, 1981, 1st edition. 103 pp, 100 color and b/w photos. Navy cloth hardcover with a nice dust jacket. DJ is not price clipped, and other than the Signatures the book has no writing. Fine.
The book is SIGNED by the author and photographer in an upper corner of the first white blank endpaper. This is the first copy we have ever seen signed by both authors. Remember, the book was published 42 years ago, a year before we started our bookshop.
This is an account of the natural and human history and discovery and exploration of the Canadian Rockies Columbia Icefield. The text is divided into three sections: a basic discussion of Glaciers, a tour of the Columbia icefield, and a human history of the Icefield environs. Photos by Harmon. Text by Bart Robinson.
