This article appeared in the Saturday Evening Post prior to Roberts' book Mountain of My Fear being published in 1968. Roberts recounts the harrowing story of a 40-day ordeal on Mt. Huntington in Alaska. This was the first big face to be climbed on an Alaskan peak. It was a remarkable ascent for the time, especially since it was achieved by a relatively unknown, young team of 4 Harvard students - at a terrible price - the life of one man.
