Scotland, Cairngorm Club, 1905 - 1929 (does not include every issue of this period). This set of softcover journals is not in great condition. Many of the covers are missing or loose and the spines and page edges are worn. Though fragile, it's a good readable set of a classic mountaineering journal with b/w photographs and illustrations. Good to Very Good condition. Due to the weight of this set, extra postage will be requested for Media Mail, Priority Mail and International Mail. This twice yearly journal of the Cairngorm Club largely covered climbing, mountaineering, hiking in Scotland's Cairngorms and the UK, but also other locations such as Assiniboine, Pennine Alps, Colorado Rockies, China, and more. The Cairngorm Club was founded by Alexander Copland, Rev. Robert Lippe, A. I. M'Connochie, Rev. C. C. Macdonald, W. A. Hawes, and W. Anderson at Clach Dhion - the Shelter Stone, above Loch A'an in the Cairngorms on 24 June 1887. The date of formation is given as 1889 in the SMC District Guide, and corrected in a later edition.
