In 1907 the Ladies� Alpine Club of the UK was formed with Mrs. Aubrey Le Blond as the first president. The Club was for �Ladies� and some saw it as a junior affiliate of the senior male organization, The Alpine Club. But it did count as its members most of the leading female British, and a few American, climbers of the period. This set was the property of Margaret Prouty, an American climber. We have a short run of the Ladies' Alpine Club Journal (also called the YEARBOOK), 1952-1975. You may order issues individually by year. All are in Near Fine condition. To order, please place the number of issues desired into the quantity box on the order form and write the years you wish to order in the comments box. 1952 - 1975 (2 copies available of 1975) (1957 edition is their Anniversary edition) The Ladies Alpine Club Journal was published from 1925 - 1975, after which it was combined with the Alpine Club Journal.
