Philadelphia, 1925, 1st edition. 310 pp, 65 plates, fold-out maps. This is a handsome hardcover in its original blue cloth that is bright with bright gold lettering on the spine and cover. This copy has been damaged, in a way that doesn't really show up in our photo. It appears to have had a heavy weight or force applied to the front cover, so the front cover and spine are damaged. It needs to be rebound. The internal content is actually Near Fine, with no foxing, no stains, no writing, a previous owner's bookplate. If you have a copy that is missing plates or the map, this copy could serve as a donor.
This book is not numbered or signed, which is unusual because we actually know that the original owner knew Thorington, and even climbed with him! (From inscriptions in other books and family lore that was related to us.)
