This is one of the great narratives of the Golden Age of Himalayan Climbing, when people were still able to do first ascents. It has been reprinted several times and we often have used copies of the various paperback versions and can sell them at a very reasonable price. The condition is usually Fine because while it may have been read just once, or never, and never spent time in used bookstores or thrift shops being manhandled and bought and sold.

Diemberger's first book Summits and Secrets describes his two greatest climbs, the first ascent of two 8000 meter peaks, Dhaulagiri and Broad Peak, plus his Eigerr North Face climb, and many other extreme climbs of his youth. .
Diemberger made first ascents of Broad Peak and Dhaulagiri. This is one of the most desirable and well written Himalayan books.
