An account of a two women expedition to the Kulu and Lahul areas of the Indian Himalaya; several first ascents were made. This exciting true life adventure tale recounts the journey of Josephine Scarr and Barbara Spark to India and Nepal in 1961. Calling themselves 'The Women's Kulu Expedition' they lived in India and eventually climbed three 20,000 foot Himalayan peaks. Written by Josephine Scarr who, aged 24, climbed in the Himalaya with another girl, wintered working in India, and then joined a larger expedition to scale some of the highest peaks ever conquered by an all-women party.
