New York, Dodd Mead, 1922, 1st edition. 282 pp, 65 plates, one in color.
This book has a dark green cloth on boards cover, and the front title in gilt is easily readable. However, the spine has darkened and the title is readbale only from close-up. A nice vintage book of American climbing.
This book describes an early ascent and camp-out high on Mount Moran in the Tetons. In 1919 Leroy Jeffers made the first ascent of Mount Muir, one of the 14ers along the Sierra Crest leading up to Mount Whitney.
