Boell did most of his climbing in the Dauphine Alps. Illustrated with the author's photographs, this is an account of Boell's climbs in the French Alps. The various ascents mentioned include the north peak of the Cavales by the western arete; a winter ascent of La Roche Méane; the north face of Les Arias; du Cote de la Pointe Swan; a winter attempt on Pic Gaspard; on the northern spur of the Pointe d'Amont; and an ascent of Pic de la Fare by the Romanche slope.
