There are no names, writing or previous book plates in the book, the binding is tight, there are no flaws in the book, plus the dust jacket is also without flaws. The Dust Jacket is now protected by a removable high quality clear polyester Brodart dust jacket cover with a paper liner. The Dust Jacket and the Book are both in Fine condition. Hard to find guide to the 100 'best' extreme Alpine rock routes. Large-format, profusely illustrated. Probably never read or even opened. The original text (translated by Hugh Merrick) & the stunning black-and-white photographs of Jurgen Winkler with endpaper map. Each site is thoroughly described & information provided on its bases, starting point for the climb, descent route, available guides & maps, & small sketch showing key points along the route; each also has a full-page photo. With light blue cloth-covered boards, and handsome dust jacket. I wish there were more books about great peaks and routes that deserve a celebratory description such as this one.
