The Climbing Art was a quarterly magazine of rock climbing founded and edited initially by legendary Colorado rock climber Pat Ament. The Climbing Art was probably the first truly Rock Climbing oriented magazine, rather than encompassing mountaineering as well.
It existed in the 1980s and 1990s, and had as writers and subjects such influential climbers as John Gill, Derek Hersey, Terry Gifford, Peter Croft, Greg Child, Alison Osius, David Breashears, Todd Skinner, John Bachar, Tom Frost, David Craig, Mirella Tenderini, Antoine Savelli, George Hurley, and Royal Robbins.
