How to Order and Pay us

How to pay us for the items you want.

These are the secure ways to order and send us funds.

1. WEBSITE: Please order from us using our secure website. Since we started using a website in the year 2000 we have safely processed tens of thousands of Website orders. 99% of orders are through our website and are paid by credit card or Paypal. On our website we accept credit cards, debit cards, Paypal and on ebay orders, their new ebay payment. Our website uses secure technology to protect your information. When using our website please double check that the Card Numbers are correct from your most recent credit card. If you got a new card recently, please check that the numbers have or have not changed.

Please use a computer to order on our website, our website is not programed for smart phones. You can browse our website using a smart phone.

2. EMAIL: You may email or phone us questions about books, such as if we have a title that you are looking for and it is not listed. To actually place an order, please use our secure website. Using a phone to order from us is not faster than using our website. You can also order by email, but please give us all the information, name, shipping address, email, phone, and for each items the Items Number, Author, Title and Price.

3. PAYPAL: For payment we accept Paypal as well as MC, VISA, AMEX & Discover credit and debit cards. To use Paypal you will need to have a PayPal account before ordering from us. At check-out our shopping cart will allow you to choose PayPal as a payment method, and will link you directly. If you order a book we listed on ebay, we use their new payment service.

4. PHONE: You can phone us at 303 670-0093 between 10-5 Rocky Mountain Time with a credit card number. Using a phone to place an order is probably more secure than using the Internet. We do not ship phone orders faster than website orders. If you see a book you want it is wise to order it when you see it, as if it is a recent listing somebody else is bound to see it and order it right away.

5. CHECK: You may also snail mail us a check, money order or cash to: Michael Chessler, PO Box 4359, Evergreen, CO 80437, USA. It is legal to mail cash. We do not accept bank transfers or Western Union type services.

6. HOLD BOOKS. We will not ''hold books'' for you. Please pay us at the time you place your order.

7. NO INVOICES, PURCHASE ORDERS or BILLING: Institutions such as libraries and companies: we do not accept purchase orders from schools, colleges, government agencies, libraries and businesses unless you can pay using a credit card at the time of ordering. We do not send pro-forma invoices. We do not sell wholesale except at our website's prices. We do not send ''price quotations.'' Our website has our prices listed accurately.

8. PRICES: Our prices are competitive with similar books offered for sale on the internet on other websites. We usually have the lowest price or among the lowest prices among internet booksellers. If we are priced higher than others, please check our description; our copy may be in better condition, possibly signed, a true first edition, etc. We always try to offer good value for the price we ask. There are no additional ''quantity'' discounts available. If you get our weekly newsletter mailings you will see that our prices fluctuate both down and up occasionally.

9. EBAY: We have been using eBay to sell books for over twenty years. Currently we only have twenty active listings. Our eBay listings may have different prices than on this website and different postage fees to attract new customers. Our seller name on ebay is chesslerbooks.

10. We usually ship orders on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and when we are get very busy we may ship on other days as well.

To summarize, please order from us using our website and using your credit card. We accept Paypal, Mastercard, VISA, American Express and Discover. We also accept US dollar checks, US dollar money orders and US cash. It is legal in the USA to mail cash and some customers do that regularly.

If paying by check please be sure to enclose proper postage, and 5% sales tax if the ''ship to'' address is in Colorado. Postage in the USA is $5 for the first book and .95 each additional. For exceptions please read the descriptions of the items you are buying. Heavy or large books may cost more to mail, as do non-book items such as ice axes.

If you place several orders the same day or week we will try to combine them for lower postage but cannot guarantee it.
