The distinguished British Painter, travel writer, explorer and anthropologist, A. Henry Savage Landor (1867-1924) recounts his adventures in Tibet and Nepal. He had been told that 'Once you have visited the snows of the 'Himahlyas' you will return to them time after time until you die.' After being away for two years -- this is his next journey to those beautiful mountains. His paintings of the mountain peaks, the people, the customs, the everyday life, the animals: are beautiful and more telling than any photograph. This copy has slight edge wear on the spine top and bottom, end papers yellowed, two old signatures (dated 1916 and 1932) on the front endpaper, otherwise bright and Very Good-Near Fine.
