Doubleday & Company, Inc., Garden City, 1958, 1st USA edition. 288 pp, 68 b/w photos. The author joined Hillary & Tenzing on first ascent of Everest in 1953 as cinematographer, and made the film "The Conquest Of Everest." This is his account of adventures and travels including about 90 pages on the 1953 Everest expedition, lots on his making of the acclaimed movie The White Continent filmed in Antarctica, attempt at climbing Nun Kun in 1946. 44 of the photos are from the 1953 Everest expedition. Hardcover, DJ, Near Fine.
