About the Author
Roberto Mantovani is a researcher at the National Mountaineering Museum of Turin. He has written several volumes on skiing and hiking, including K2 (White Star), which he co-authored with Kurt Diemberger, and has curated exhibitions at the National Mountaineering Museum of Turin. Kurt Diemberger has climbed some of the world's most daunting peaks, and was the first to climb two of them-the Broad Peak and the Dhaulagiri. He has produced several major documentaries on his experiences.
