UK, 1975, 2-4th impression. 220 pp, 100+ ill. The 1975 edition does not say that it is a 2nd printing, and it appears to be a first edition. However, the true 1st UK edition was in 1974. What happened was the publisher needed more copies to send to the USA in 1975, so the book was reprinted identical to the 1974 1st edition, with no indication that it is a 2nd printing. (We got this informnation from Ken Wilson, who wrote and published the book.) The 57 hardest British rock climbs. Route photos & diagrams. This book was the first modern celebration of the high standard rock climbing being done in Britain. Following the format of Rebuffat's Mont Blanc The 100 Finest Routes, this set the stage for many 'list books' like the immortal 50 Classic Climbs of North America which followed by only a few years. Large-format hardcover, DJ, Fine. SIGNED by Chris Bonington
