Munchen, 1955, later printing [looks like 1st ed]. 360 pp, 20 photos. In German. This edition is the first one to appear after Buhl's death, and has a long afterword on their last expedition together to Broad Peak and Chogolisa by Kurt Diemberger. I do not believe this essay appears elsewhere.
Hermann Buhl (September 21, 1924 - June 27, 1957) is considered one of the best post-war Austrian climbers and one of the best climbers of all time. His accomplishments include: the 1953 First ascent of Nanga Parbat, 8,125 metres (26,658 ft.) and the 1957 First ascent of Broad Peak, 8,047 metres (26,400 ft.).
